The following discussion reveals the essence of a multitasking job, which makes it an obligation to perform in terms of inequality of duties compared to other employees working in the same field. After a week of the research, the need to investigate the required knowledge of a petroleum engineer appeared. If an individual is interested in becoming a petroleum engineer, it is better to have a deep insight in the following segments of science in order to be a highly qualified professional. Mathematics is a source of accurate calculations and estimations of the potential territory for the extraction of the resources. Physics and relevant engineering theory can help to make constructions steady and risk-free. Chemical engineering, geology, and mining are also valuable resources of information for a petroleum engineer since they prevent from mistakes in the performance. In general, chemistry can become helpful in the establishment of high-quality processes in every project. It is obvious that all the spheres of science make a petroleum engineer a multitasking worker responsible for every process taking place.

The whole research helped to generate an idea that a petroleum engineer is a multitasking employee, who needs to continuously work on skills improvement and knowledge enrichment. However, the research led to the idea that petroleum engineers have a high responsibility for risks and high-quality performance of every project.
